How do I book a storage unit?

Go to our office at 9 Spence street. Our office is situated just inside to the right of our automatic gate. There you will be asked to fill out a contract and show a form of ID. Usually a drivers license. Next you will be asked to pay for your first month plus $30 eatra for the gate tag/key. This $30 will be refunded back to you on leaving your unit in a clean and tidy state and returning the gate tag/key.

Can I book a unit outside office hours?

If you are unable to come in during office hours to sign up we are able to meet you another time at the office that suits you. There is a $30.00 call out fee for this service.

Can I have my property insured while it is in storage?

Yes, however tenants must arrange insurance cover directly with their insurance company.

How do I have access to my unit?

We provide you with a key to the main gate which provides access to our storage facility 24 hours 7 days a week. A deposit of $30 is required for this key which is refunded when you remove your storage from our facility and return the key to us.

Do you have a trailer available for me to transport my goods into storage?

While we don't provide this service, you are usually able to hire one from your local service station or hire store.

Do I have exclusive access to my unit?

You are the only person who has access to your unit. We encourage you to use a high quality padlock that is of reasonable strength.

Will my property get mouldy?

Our self storage sheds are built from timber frames and are lined with plywood so are very dry inside. However if furniture is put into storage whilst wet or damp you will run the risk of it becoming mouldy.

 

Do I need to put rat/mouse bait in my unit?

While we don't usually have problems with rodents we always advise you to place some blocks in your units as we don't have access to your unit to do this and when moving out of a house it is common for rodents to hide in your furniture.

What items can't be stored in my unit?

By not storing any of the below items you will ensure your property will not be tainted while in storage: 

Any products that are flammable (gas, fuel, explosives, fireworks or ammunition)

Corrosive, toxic or hazardous martials

Controlled Substances 

Food or perishables

Any dangerous or health-risk items

Waste/Rubbish

Any creature or organism, living or dead
